1. Cleaning only: Brush all the dirt away from your paving/patio and then clean it using a high pressure machine.
2. Cleaning and Weed Killer: Brush all the dirt away from your paving/patio and then clean it using a high pressure machine. Weed Killer is then applied.
3. Cleaning, Weed Killer and Re-Sanding: Brush all the dirt away from your paving/patio and then clean it using a high pressure machine. Weed Killer is then applied. Then carefully brush in new fine kiln sand between all the driveway blocks giving the area a brand new look
4. Cleaning, Weed Killer, Re-Sanding and Sealing: Brush all the dirt away from your paving/patio and then clean it using a high pressure machine. Weed Killer is then applied. Then we’ll carefully brush in new fine kiln sand between all the driveway blocks giving the area a brand new look. We then seal the driveway with a permanent acrylic block paving sealant.
Your Questions Answered
How long will it take?
Depending on the size of the area and amount of staining and dirt build up - most drives, paths, patios etc will be cleaned within one day
What about Sanding and Stabalising?
This can only take place once the area is completely dry, weather permitting - usually 24 to 48 hours after cleaning. Again, this stage should be finished within one day.
What about Weed Prevention?
Weed Killer will eliminate any exsisting weeds after cleaning with a high pressure machine and help prevent their return. The application of the stabiliser / sealant helps prevent the jointing sand washing out and gives additional protection against weeds being able to take root.
It is always advisable to apply a good quality sealant to newly laid or existing paving to prevent the paved area becoming vulnerable to weed and algae growth. Sealant manufacturers recommend that driveways and patios should be cleaned 1-2 times per year and resealed every 3 - 4 years.
Will I have to stay off the surface after cleaning?
After cleaning - no.
After sealing we recommend foot traffic to be allowed after 3-4 hours and vehicular traffic after at least 24 hours.
